S10 dash conversion. Mar 13, 2025 · There have been a couple of posts regarding this but I’m hoping someone could give insight in detail into how they replaced the newer style ‘86-‘91 dashboard with an ‘85 round gauge. The water temp unit is at the front of the intake, while the oil pressure unit is all the way on the back of the block. I picked up a flawless ‘85, repainted the bezels and want to begin remove/replace. Perfect for LS swap and conversion projects. Does anyone have any info or a link that might help me to this? I did search, but I came up with nothing. GM put v6 emblem on the dash, then never wired it. Is it just a plug and play swap? I have no clue about this, but I am sure someone knows how to do this. Someone told me it would bolt up but will all the gauges hook up without modification, like just plug in or what? Has anyone done this before?
