Schlage keypad not working. I bought it because it was the only ANSI grade 1 smart lock that existed at the time, and at its core, it's a lock that I want to protect the house with. I've narrowed it down to the Aqara U100 or the Schlage Encode Plus. They're metal doors with insulation in the middle. All manufactures selling DIY products at big box stores cut quality to lower cost. Yale: not so much Folks have talked about the Yale battery life - it eats batteries, and if you turn off wifi you can't connect remotely. The schlage is very snappy and def faster than using a key.
